191: Perspectives: Nancy Phippen Browne

NancyPhippenBrowneAs part of our Perspectives Series, we sat down with LDS author Nanacy Phippen Browne.  She makes her way through the gauntlet of what is a prophet, what does the “Church is True” mean as well as her thoughts on the Book of Mormon, Scripture in general, and her take on issues like the LGBT issue.

  1. I’m sorry but I couldn’t get all the way through it. When she opened with, ‘it has to be true because Joseph was just an uneducated farm boy’ I was pretty much done. I was hoping for something more. I guess at some point I’ll have to put on my big boy pants and move forward.

Thanks Bill for your herculean effort at maintaining your faith and trying to help the rest of us as well.

I can’t help but see the similarity between your progression and Johnny D’s. To me, it seems like you’re treading water and getting tired and the sharks are circling.

I love your podcasts because you are so honest and transparent. Thanks again.

    1. Thank you and yes on many of your points I agree. My hope is that I continue to play in a space that is on the safe side of the line and the Sharks never head in.
